Discover the exceptional taste of Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Aricha Wubanchi, a grade 1 fully washed microlot from the renowned Aricha Wubanchi washing station. Nestled at 2,213 meters above sea level and serviced by the Resitay river, this station processes cherries from 1,700 local smallholder farmers cultivating heirloom varietals on small plots, known as ‘garden coffee.’
Located in the Yirgacheffe district, Gedeo zone, this region is famed for producing some of the world’s most sought-after microlots. The high altitude, fertile soil, and abundant rainfall, combined with local expertise, contribute to the distinguished reputation of Yirgacheffe coffees.
Our Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Aricha Wubanchi coffee undergoes a meticulous washed processing method. Ripe cherries are sorted, pulped, and fermented for 36-48 hours, then sun-dried on raised African beds for 10-12 days. This careful process results in a coffee that captivates the senses with juicy stone-fruit, floral, and chocolate notes, complemented by a creamy body.
